With Business Intelligence can analyze and interpret the data, and industry reports, which give the company a competitive advantage by improving its operations and its ability to react to market changes, Business Intelligence Is the data and information available for making high efficiency analysis of decisions

The following topics are included in the course:

Data Source:

Data Source is a collection of fields that are used to extract data from a business unit of the source system, and are converted to a layer entry of the Business Warehouse system, or are providing direct access instead. In Business Warehouse, the metadata description of the source data is modeled with Data Sources; Data Source is edited or created independently of 3.x objects on a unified user interface. When the Data Source is activated, the system creates a PSA table in the Persistent Staging Area (PSA), the entry layer of BW. In this way the Data Source represents a persistent object within the data flow.

A Data Store object is a unified storage site and clearing the transaction data or master data on a document (atomic) level.

A Data Store object Contain basic fields, main figures and also data fields, and an example of the basic fields (such as document number, document item), main figures can also contain character fields (such as order status, customer). Data from a Data Store object can be updated to the three forms, the first It is considered the standard, updated to Info cubes, second other Data Store objects, third, master data tables (attributes or texts) in the same system or across different systems.

Despite the multi-dimensional data storage using Info Cubes, the data in Data Store objects can be stored in a spreadsheet characterized as flat and transparent. The system does not create fact tables or dimension tables.

When you define a data store object, is to identify the key areas and fields of data, has been building active data tables based on the data store object. The activation queue and the change log are almost identical in structure: the activation queue has an SID as its key, the package ID and the record number; the change log has the request ID as its key, the package ID, and the record number.

Can download the data from different sources systems at the same time, and this is due to the wait mechanism that is by entering the data, when it is in an active queue key allows records to be described consistently. It is the active queue data come in to change the record and is written to the table for active data upon activation. During activation, the requests are sorted according to their logical keys. This ensures that the data is updated to the table of active data in the correct request sequence.

Master data:

Master data can exploit this information to produce reports that identify key customers of the company, or to clarify the difference in customer buying patterns according to the time and the basis of their credit rating, and by combining this historical master data with other historical business transaction data.
